Come join us for yoga at Omtown Yoga Studio. Free for anyone receiving CLBC (Community Living British Columbia) services and staff. Taught by Neil Cutler, community support worker and certified yoga instructor. There will be a variety of yoga offered from week to week. All ages, flexibilities and skill level welcome!

  • Who would benefit from this yoga?

Anyone! Whether you have good flexibility or poor flexibility, can walk or are in a wheelchair. If 1-1 support is required, please provide it.

  • What kind of yoga will be taught?

A variety of yoga may be taught, depending on the participants that attend but expect a fusion of gentle hatha, chair, silly kidding around yoga and even ecstatic dance!

  • Is it wheelchair accessible?

Yes, Omtown is wheelchair accessible and yoga can be adapted to be done in the wheelchair or on the ground.

  • What time should I arrive?

Please arrive ten minutes early to give enough time to setup your space. If it is your first time, you will be asked to sign a waiver. Please consider signing this ahead of time if you have access to it.

  • Why is it “Most Thursdays”?

We are managing with limited resources to offer yoga to as many people receiving Community Inclusion Services. As a result, there will be some days where yoga cannot be taught.

  • What is Community Inclusion?

Community Inclusion is primarily referring to anyone who receives support from Community Living British Columbia. If you are unsure, feel free to call and connect with Neil Cutler at (250) 753-0332.

  • Who is Neil Cutler?

Neil is a Community Support Worker who after seeing the benefits of yoga for his job, became certified himself with not only Vinyasa/Hatha but also Yin, Kidding Around and Ayurvedic Teacher Training. He is most passionate about taking elements of learning and applying them to facilitate our population to learn and grow.
