There are many ways to learn. While out in the community, communication is a vital skill to have. Yet it is often only given as an auditory process. Research has found that for many adults with cognitive disabilities, they learn more efficiently from visual processes.
Neil Cutler works with these adults to develop visual strategies to communicate. From having visual boards to make decisions from, to using technology while out in the community to make requests and have conversations, his goal is to encourage each person to be able to have a sense of connection with their community through social engagement.
